This is a topic that really excites us, painting out your old furniture.
Not only is it a sustainable option, the options are virtually endless. You have an open palette, which means you can use ANY paint colour you would like. A much more versatile option than shopping in a store and having only a few colours to choose from. This may be the perfect way to bring a bold pop colour to the room, perhaps a colour from pillows, drapes, artwork and accessories.
We suggest finding a piece that has great bones. Don’t worry about the hardware, that can be sprayed or replaced with new ones. With our Advance paint, you can now paint over melamine, wood and old oil base paint.
We selected a few pieces to inspire you and get your colour juices flowing.
This is a perfect before/after example of how old dated shelving can be transformed with paint. The hardware got sprayed with some gold spray paint and voila!
This makeover is night and day different. We love how Lolly Jane painted them out and sanded the edges for an old world feel.
This dated wood dresser is barely recognizable after this facelift, check out the transformation here.
