Well it may have not been Eleanor’s cup of tea, we love these primary tones to brighten up the exterior of her house. I think the closest colours from Benjamin Moore’s own colour palette are Delightful Yellow, Heritage Red, and Sailor’s Sea Blue.
While I don’t recommend painting your whole house in these, you can always introduce them in your front door, planters, furniture, or even planting flowers to match. The sky’s the limit. Eleanor tested. Chidi approved!
Joan is one of (in my personal views) the best characters to appear on Mad Men. Joan is powerful yet soft, and her living area is painted to match. The Benjamin Moore colour Claret Rose is very close to the red in her home and adds a touch of ‘Joan’ to any space.

Nothing perks up a room like red, but many are afraid to introduce this powerful colour into a decorating scheme.
Fortunately, there are many creative ways in which you can spice up your décor with red’s ebullient energy without feeling overwhelmed.
Red is present in pinks, corals, mauves and violets. If you can’t picture yourself in a red bedroom, how about one painted in dreamy pink cadillac (2002-70)—a romantic, soft pink.
Red for Small Rooms
A rich, bold red can give a modest powder room or entryway stately elegance. The secret is to balance a strong colour like red with a soft neutral. For bathrooms, we recommend our mildew-resistant Aura® Bath and Spa paint to ensure the durability of any colour you choose.
